Miniature Compression Sensor FCCF is made of stainless steel based on strain gauge
technology offering 5kgf / 10kgf / 20kgf / 50kgf four rated
capacities intended for compression force measurement. Compact
design with a mounting base makes it easy to install the
transducer, 1000ohms high resistance minimizes the heat emission
and improves long term stability. Miniature size enables button
load cell FCCF applicable for appliations where mounting space is
limited. You may find Micro Compression Load Cell FCCF suitable for applications such as load distribution
analysis, mold pressure measurement, force overload protection,
clamping force measurement, assembly force monitoring and so
on.
A Load Cell is a transducer that converts force acting on it into
electronic signal which is proportional to the applied force.The
acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded
strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance
change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply,the
output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus
the force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the
load cell. Load Button Load Cell FCCF is designed to measure force in compression direction,outputs
millivolt signal within 0~22.5mV, and signal amplification may be
required for most applications, a load cell signal conditioner can
be used to convert mV signal into -5-5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output
which is proportional to applied force.The amplified output then
can be easily processed by PLCs and data acquisition software. The
force can also be displayed through force indicator,force meter FPT
is integrated with high accuracy/low noise 24 bit Sigma-Delta
ADC,sampling speed up to 960Hz makes it suitable for both static
and dynamic measurement;FPT also supports Modbus RTU protocol with
RS485 or RS232 communication port,amplified signal
0-5V,0-10V,0-20mV or 4-20mA is also achievable from FPT.

Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Button Load Cell FCCF is normally around 1.5mV/V.
Power supply of Miniature Load cell FCCF is normally within
3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Compression Type Force Sensor FCCF is
normally within 0…+22.5mV.
Example one: Micro Load Cell FCCF-50kg with 1.5mV/V sensitivity
powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0mV...+7.5mV.
Example two: Miniature Compression Load Cell FCCF-20kg with 1.5mV/V
rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is 0mV...+15mV.
The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be
processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load
cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Button Type Compression Load Cell FCCF-10kg working
with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be
0-10kg compression force VS 0-10V output, which is linear
regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 1kgf
compression load, 2V output corresponds to 2kgf compression load,
and so on.
Example two: Miniature Clamping Force Load Cell FCCF-20kg working
with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will
be 0-20kgf compression force VS 4-20mA output, which is linear
regardless of the measurement error, 4mA output corresponds to “0”
load, 5.6mA output corresponds to 2kgf clamping force, 12mA output
corresponds to 10kgf clamping, and so on.
