Miniature Compression Sensor 500N 200N 100N 50N Micro Load Cell 8mm diameter

Miniature Compression Force Sensor FC8E is made of stainless steel based on metal foil stain gauge technology intended for compression force measurement. 1000 ohms high resistance strain gauge delivers better stability compared to commonly used 350ohms gauges, miniature load cell FC8E offers 0-11lb / 0-22lb / 0-45lb / 0-110lb (0-50N / 0-100N / 0-200N / 0-500N) four measuring ranges to choose from. Small size button type compression load cell FC8E is featured with only 8mm outer diameter and 6mm total height which makes it extremely suitable for force measurement applications with limited mounting space. Typical applications for transducer FC8E are such as clamping force measuremen, force overload protection, load distribution analysis, pressing die force measurement, auto equipment, assembly line and so on.

Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Button Load Cell FC8E is normally around 1.0mV/V.
Power supply of Micro Load cell FC8E is normally within 3-8V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Compression Type Force Sensor FC8E is normally within 0…+8mV.
Example: Miniature Button Load Cell FC8E-100N with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0~5mV.


The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell FC8E to deliver 0~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Button Type Compression Load Cell FC8E-100N working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-100N compression force VS 0-10V output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, namely 1V output corresponds to 10N compression load, 2V output corresponds to 20N compressive force, and so on.
Example two: Miniature Button Type Compression Sensor FC8E-500N working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-500N compression force VS 4-20mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, namely 4mA output corresponds to “0” load, 5.6mA output corresponds to 50N compression force, 12mA output corresponds to 250N compressive load, and so on.
