Hualai Vapor Liquid Separator Wire Mesh Pad Both Ss And Plastic Material

The wire mesh pad demister is usually used to eliminate the mist sizing from 3um to 5um, which is entrained in the flue gas.

The demister pad is normally constructed by wire mesh pad and grids. And the popular mesh pad thickness is 100mm and 150mm.

In production, the knitted wire mesh are crimped and layed one by one layer. The corrugation inclination of neighboring layers shall be opposite.

Material of vapor liquid separator construction and its application:

When all the sections attached together, the size of the whole demister shall be a little bigger than the inner size of tower (usually measured in diameter). There is a reference standard as follows:

If we set the bigger value is e, then e = 10mm for towers with inner diameter 300mm - 1000mm; e = 20 for towers 1100mm - 2000mm; e = 1%*diameter, when it is bigger than 2000mm.

When we install the demister to the tower, no gap is allowed either between the mesh pad and the tower wall, or between the sections of mesh pads.

The mesh pad thickness can be calculated from the requirement of eliminating efficiency.

The mesh pad demister shall be inspected and cleaned periodically, so to ensure the desired efficiency and avoid pressure drop increasing.

Most demisters are replaced on a regular basis due to fouling or corrosion.

When moved out of the towers, the demister shall be cleaned and blow-dried in time, to avoid corrosion.
