Luteinizing Hormone Detection Reagent(LH) Clinical Significance (Immunofluorescence Chromatography)
LH OverviewLuteinizing hormone is a kind of glycoprotein gonadotropin secreted by anterior pituitary basophilic cells. It mainly promotes ovulation. Under the synergistic effect of FSH, luteinizing hormone is formed and progesterone is secreted. Generally, the normal value during non-ovulation period is 5-25 mIU/ml, and lower than 5mIU/ml indicates insufficient gonadotropin function, which can be seen in Sheehan's syndrome. High FSH and increased LH indicate ovarian function decline, and LH/FSH≥3 is one of the basis for the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome.
