Introduction
 
The Spring Jar is designed to provide optimum upward jarring impact force, especially when use in conjunction with the correct Accelerator.
Prior to Running the Jar, the “Trip” setting can be adjusted, set and then tested using a Calibration Tool.
An overpull equivalent to the preset trip setting will “Fire” the Jar in a rapid upwards motion. The Jar is then simply recocked by setting down toolstring weight to relatch the body to the Jar Rod.
Unlike most jars available on the market the jar collet latch mechanism is placed in the upper section of the jar housing. This makes the jar less prone to failure by the incursion of debris in and around the latch mechanism after tripping and firing.
 

 
Description
 
The Spring Jar is composed of Top Sub, Adjuster Driver, Swivel Nut, Sleeve, Belleville Body, Adjuster Nut, Belleville Stem, Collet Body, Spring, Collet Cap, Collet, Slide Body, Slide Stem, Bottom Cap, Bottom Sub, etc. The specific structure is shown in the attached drawing.
When the jar is closed, Collet grabs the upper part of the Slide Stem; When the tool is lifted, Slide Stem drive Collet to pull Belleville Stem compression disc spring to reserve energy; When the Slide Stem runs for a period of travel, the Collet is separated from the Slide Stem, and the Belleville Washer is released instantly to complete the jarring effect.
Strip
1. Unscrew all Screws of the spring jar.
2. Grip the Collet Body in the vice.
3. Adjust the top sub to release the Slide Stem.
4. Remove the Slide Body.
5. Remove the Belleville Body.
6. Grip the Slide Stem in the vice.
7. Remove the Lower Spring, Stop shoe and Bottom Sub.
8. Grip the Slide Body in the vice.
9. Remove the Bottom Cap.
10. Grip the Belleville Body in the vice.
11. Remove the Swivel Nut and sleeve.

Structural features

The spring jar force calibration tool is mainly composed of tension meter, piston, lead screw, piston barrel, fishing neck connecting claw, clamp block and cylinder. The piston and piston barrel form a hydraulic cylinder, the lead screw plays a tightening role, and the fishing neck connects the claw, the clamp and the cylinder to fix the jar. When the lead screw is turned, the fishing neck connecting claw and the clamp block will pull the jar tight; The piston connected with the lead screw acts on the hydraulic oil surface to produce pressure on the hydraulic cylinder; The tension meter converts pressure into tension and displays it.
