Product Description:

A biogas plant is an anaerobic digester designed to process farm wastes or energy crops. These are air-tight tanks, usually of different shapes and sizes, that can be filled with materials such as maize silage or biodegradable wastes including sewage sludge and food waste. The micro-organisms within the tanks break down the biomass into biogas - mostly methane and carbon dioxide, along with digestate.

When wastewater is co-digested with other materials from sources such as dairies, sugar factories, or breweries, significantly higher amounts of biogas can be produced. For example, adding only 10% cow whey to 90% brewery wastewater can result in a 2.5-fold increase in biogas production.

However, manufacturing biogas from deliberately planted maize has been described as unsustainable and environmentally destructive; due to the concentrated, high-intensity and soil-eroding nature of these kinds of plantation.

Packaging and Shipping for the Anaerobic Digester Tank:

The Anaerobic Digester Tank will be shipped in sturdy wooden crates that are reinforced with steel straps. The crates will be lined with foam padding to reduce the risk of damage during transit. The tank will be securely fastened in the crate using bungee cords and mooring lines. We recommend that the shipping company provide insurance for the shipment.

For international shipments, we will work with the customer to arrange for the appropriate export/import documentation.
