PAHs Sensor For Real-Time Monitoring Benzopyrene Out Of PAHs
Desun Uniwill PAH Monitoring Sensors, designed for detecting Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons, is a cutting-edge device revolutionizing environmental monitoring. PAHs are organic pollutants with diverse sources, emphasizing the critical need for real-time monitoring to control pollution and assess associated risks effectively.
Desun Uniwill Online PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) Sensor works in the measuring principle of UV fluorescence, it’s more sensitive and specific than the conventional infrared scattering or absorption methods. This makes it possible to determine the smallest traces of PAHs, e.g. in drinking water, but also in cooling water condensates. It has an RS-485 interface that allows easy and fast sensor configuration via Modbus.
Features:
-PAH Measurement Range: 0 – 1000 ppb (µg/L)
Technical parameters
There are two measurement modes to choose from:
1. Analyzer mode, Combine the instrument with a flow-through tank to lead the liquid into the glass tube for measurement.
2. Probe mode, Online measurement of PAH (oil) content in water by UV fluorescence method with fast response and high sensitivity. No need for sampling and sample preparation, no reagents. Can be connected to supporting instrumentation, and can achieve 4-20mA analog output, to achieve a variety of control methods.
The field of application ranges from petrochemistry, and leakage detection in cooling and wastewater streams to environmental monitoring.
Key Considerations for Implementation: -Sensitivity and Selectivity: Ability to detect low concentrations of PAHs and distinguish them from other compounds. -Portability: Ease of use and transport for field measurements. -Response Time: Speed at which the sensor provides readings. -Cost and Maintenance: Initial cost, ease of maintenance, and operational costs. -Calibration and Validation: Regular calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements.
Real-time PAH sensors are becoming increasingly important for monitoring and mitigating the risks associated with PAH exposure. Advances in technology continue to improve their sensitivity, specificity, and practicality for various applications.
