Q1: How many types of excavator grab?
A1: 3 types, mechanical grab, hydraulic grapple with rotation and hydraulic grapple withour rotation.

The excavator mechanical grab is driven by bucket cylinder, no additional hydraulic block and pipeline are needed.

The non-rotation hydraulic grapple should be controlled by adding a set of hydraulic valve block and pipeline.

The rotated hydraulic gripper needs to be controlled by adding two sets of hydraulic valve blocks and pipelines.

Q2: Should the telescopic boom carry a clamshell bucket or a grab bucket?

A2: The clamshell bucket does good help under the working condition of excavating sludge and sand, with larger excavation volume and higher efficiency. But under the working condition of sand mixed with stone, the working efficiency of the shell bucket will be greatly reduced due to the low excavation force and small opening, so the grab bucket can be competent for this.

Q3: How long is the boom arm can min excavator be be configured with? Whether it is necessary to increase the counterweight?
A3. Generally speaking, 30-40 excavator longest arm suggests to be 8 meters, can configure 0.1 cbm bucket, no need extra counterweight. 55 excavator longest arm suggests to be 12 meters, can configure 0.1-0.15 cbm bucket, need 0.5 ton extra counterweight. 60-80 excavator longest arm suggests to be 12 meters, can configure 0.15-0.25 cbm bucket, need 0.5-0.7 ton extra counterweight.
It is not recommended to extend boom arm to longest length as min excavator is easy to sloshing.
