Silicon carbon rods can be used at a normal temperature of 1450 ℃
in an oxidizing atmosphere and can be used continuously for up to
2000 hours. At high temperatures, silicon carbide rods can react
with oxygen and water vapor, leading to component aging. Excessive
water vapor can promote SiC oxidation and reduce the lifespan of
components.
application area
Coarse end silicon carbide rods are mainly used in high-temperature
furnaces with extremely harsh internal environments, such as test
furnaces. Its flexural strength and density vary depending on
different specifications, with common specifications including
RPC10, RPC20, and RPC30. In addition, the thick end silicon carbon
rod is also suitable for industrial furnaces that require high
temperature resistance, such as rare earth fluorescent powder,
electronics, magnetic materials, powder metallurgy, accurate
casting and other industries.
