♦ Baseplate – The baseplate provides a base for mounting of one or two FBMs and eight

   H-System Modules. Up to 30 baseplates can be interconnected to provide mounting for

   up to 30 FBMs per FCM or redundant FCM pair.

♦ H-System Modules - Intrinsically safe isolators galvanically separate signals between sensors

   and actuators on the field side and Fieldbus Modules (FBM) on the bus side.

♦ Fieldbus Modules (FBMs) – FBMs serve as an interface between the intrinsic safety isolators

   H-System Module and the I/A Series control station (via Fieldbus Communication Module and

   the Ethernet trunk Fieldbus). They perform necessary data conversion, providing full support for

   analog measurement, discrete sensing, and analog or discrete control and digital communication.

♦ Fieldbus Communications Modules (FCMs) - FCMs are located on a separate Two Position

  Baseplate. They form the interface between the control system (for example the I/A Series

  control station) and the FBMs. FCMs can access a maximum of 32 FBMs per segment.
