Solder paste printing is now considered to be a key process step in surface mount technology to control the quality of the final solder joint. Printing is a process based on fluid mechanics. It can be repeatedly repeated to apply a certain amount of material (solder paste or adhesive) on the surface of the PCB.

Generally speaking, the printing process is very simple, PCB Keep a certain distance from the screen or steel plate (non-contact) or completely (contact), the solder paste or adhesive flows under the action of the scraper through the surface of the wire mesh or steel plate, and fills the incision on it.

The solder paste or adhesive is then applied to the surface of the PCB. Finally, the screen or steel plate is separated from the PCB, so that an image consisting of solder paste or adhesive is left on the PCB.
