Dwyer Series 607 Differential Pressure Transmitter
Product Introduction
The Dwyer Series 607 Differential Pressure Transmitter, along with
Series 608 and 668, is a low-range pressure measurement device
designed to convert positive, negative (vacuum), or differential
pressures of clean, dry air and other non-conductive, non-corrosive
gases into a standard two-wire 4-20 mA DC output signal.
Manufactured in the USA, it offers factory-calibrated models with
measurement ranges from 0-0.10" W.C. to 0-25" W.C. (e.g., 607-1 for
0-0.25" W.C., 607-3B for ±1.0" W.C., 607-8 for 0-10" W.C.).
Equipped with a variable capacitance transducer featuring a
micro-machined, ultra-thin silicon diaphragm—sealed without epoxies
or organics—it delivers exceptional stability, drift-free
performance, and resistance to overpressure, shock, and vibration.
Suitable for precise low-pressure control in industrial and
commercial applications, it combines durability with ease of
installation and integration.
Features
Low-Range Precision: Measures pressures from 0-0.10" W.C. to 0-25"
W.C. (including bidirectional ranges like ±0.10" W.C. to ±5.0"
W.C.), enabling accurate monitoring of very low positive, negative,
or differential pressures.
Stable Performance: Uses a variable capacitance transducer with a
micro-machined silicon diaphragm, sealed without organics, ensuring
exceptional stability and minimal drift over time.
Durable Construction: Housed in 300 Series stainless steel with a
NEMA 2 rating, providing protection against dust and limited
moisture, and resisting corrosion in dry environments.
Overpressure Resistance: Withstands pressure up to 10 psig (0.69
bar), ensuring durability in case of unexpected pressure spikes.
Fast Response: Boasts a maximum response time of 250 ms, ensuring
timely detection of pressure changes for dynamic systems.
Flexible Power Supply: Operates on 12-36 VDC, adapting to various
industrial power configurations.
Easy Installation:
Not position-sensitive, with mounting slots compatible with #8 or
#10 screws for secure attachment.
Pressure connections marked "HIGH" and "LOW" (4" barbed stainless
steel) for straightforward tubing installation; pre-installed
protective tubing is removed before use.
Polarity Protection: Electrical connections via screw terminals
with reverse polarity protection (no damage if wired incorrectly,
though loop functionality is affected).
Wide Environmental Tolerance: Functions in temperatures from -20 to
160°F (-29 to 71°C) and 10-95% RH (non-condensing), adapting to
diverse operating conditions.
CE Certification: Complies with CE standards, ensuring adherence to
European safety and performance regulations.
Key Specifications
Service Compatibility: Clean, dry air and non-conductive,
non-corrosive gases.
Output Signal: 4-20 mA DC, two-wire system.
Electrical Connections: Screw terminals (cable diameter 6-14 mm
recommended).
Weight: 1.04 lb (472 g).
Customization: Supports OEM and ODM services.
Model Variants: Includes unidirectional (e.g., 607-1: 0-0.25" W.C.)
and bidirectional (e.g., 607-3B: ±1.0" W.C.) ranges to suit
specific application needs.
Installation & Wiring Notes
Location: Install in a clean, dry area free of excessive vibration;
avoid mounting with pressure connections pointing up to prevent
moisture ingress.
Pressure Connections: Connect positive pressure to "HIGH" port,
negative pressure to "LOW" port, and differential pressures with
higher pressure to "HIGH" and lower to "LOW."
Electrical Safety: Use a 12-36 VDC power supply; ensure total loop
resistance stays within operating limits (refer to manufacturer’s
graphs for details). Shielded two-conductor cable is recommended
for wiring.
