Description:

The HIMA F3238 is an 8-channel input module that is used for safety-related applications. It is designed to connect safety-related proximity switches, DIN 19234 (NAMUR) proximity switches, and resistor-wired sensors. It is capable of monitoring the lines for short-circuit and line break, and it meets safety requirements class AK 1 to 6.

The module is automatically tested for correct function during operation. The main test routines include switch on and switch off capability, crosstalk of the input circuits by walking 0 test, function of the input filters, correct function of the module, and short circuit and wire break of the sensor line.
