The OSN1800V EGS4 is a 4-channel GE Ethernet switching and processing board, and its versions are divided into TNF1 and TMB1. This single board is mainly used in telecommunication application fields such as Ethernet service access, bandwidth management, and Layer 2 Ethernet service switching. The single board supports functions and features such as Layer 2 switching, link aggregation, and multicast.

For the EGS4, when the host software needs to be upgraded to version V100R006C10 and above, and the cross-connection is TNZ5UXCMS, the single board can be created as "EGS4" and "EGS4D" on the network management system. The main difference between the two is that when it is created as "EGS4D", the single board can not only support the EoS application but also realize the connection (EoD application) between the packet plane and the SDH plane for 2-channel GE signals. When it is created as "EGS4", the single board only supports the EoS application.

It supports FE/GE dual-fiber bi-directional pluggable optical modules, FE/GE single-fiber bi-directional pluggable optical modules, and GE pluggable electrical modules. The GE optical interface supports CWDM colored optical interfaces with a reach of 40km and 80km. It supports EVPL services with shared PORTs. It supports EVPL services with shared VCTRUNK. It supports isolation based on VLAN tags. It supports isolation based on QinQ tags and self-negotiation flow control. It supports data isolation based on the VB+VLAN mode. It supports setting up to 4095 VLAN filtering tables. The maximum upstream bandwidth is 2.5Gbit/s. The single board supports a maximum of 16 VC-4s. When binding low-order channels, the 1st to 4th VC-4s support binding VC-3/VC-12 channels, and the 5th to 16th VC-4s only support binding VC-3 channels.
