UA5000 Universal Access Unit (UA5000) is an integrated broadband and narrowband access device. It provides quality voice and broadband access services and also comprehensive voice over IP (VoIP) and multimedia access services.

In the fiber to the building (FTTB) or fiber to the curb (FTTC) networking, UA5000 Mini MSAN functions as a multi-dwelling unit (MDU), which works with the optical line terminal (OLT) to provide the XPON upstream service and the xDSL access service.
