The Battery Internal Short Circuit Tester is a fully integrated safety testing system designed to evaluate battery behavior under forced internal short-circuit conditions. This advanced equipment combines temperature control, mechanical squeezing, real-time voltage acquisition, and comprehensive safety protection within a single enclosed test chamber.
The system fully complies with IEC 62133-2:2017 (Clause 7.3.9) and JIS C 8714:2007 (Clause 5.5), making it ideal for battery manufacturers, certification bodies, and testing laboratories performing safety and compliance evaluations.

Working Principle and Purpose
Pressure is applied through a hydraulic cylinder in a vise or cylindrical piston, causing the single cell or unit cell under inspection to be squeezed between two planes. The squeezing continues until approximately 13kN force is reached, followed by immediate decompression. This test evaluates the safety performance of batteries, with successful results indicated by no fire or explosion.
This machine simulates conditions where batteries are subjected to crushing objects during use, transport, storage, or disposal as household waste. The battery is qualified if it does not explode or catch fire.
