Steel parts are generally pickled in 10% ~ 20% (volume) sulfuric acid solution at 40 ℃. When the iron content in the solution exceeds 80g / L and ferrous sulfate exceeds 215g / L, the acid washing solution shall be replaced. At room temperature, pickling steel with 20% ~ 80% (volume) hydrochloric acid solution is not easy to cause over corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement. Due to the great corrosion effect of acid on metal, corrosion inhibitor needs to be added. After cleaning, the metal surface becomes silver white, and the surface is passivated to improve the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. The process of using sulfuric acid aqueous solution with concentration of 5% ~ 20% to remove oxide scale and adhesive salts on the workpiece surface is called sulfuric acid washing method.
