Application:

This device is suitable for mechanical strength test to plugs and socket-outlets, surface type mounting boxes, screw glands, gland covers, switch and other electrical accessories for household and similar purposes.

Feature:

The arm is a steel tube with an external diameter of 9 mm (nominal), and a wall thickness of 0.5 mm (nominal).

The specimens are mounted on a sheet of plywood 8 mm thick and 1 75 mm square, preferably according to ISO 1098, secured at its top and bottom edges to a rigid bracket, which is part of the mounting fixture. The mounting fixture has a mass of 10 kg ± 1 kg and is mounted on a rigid frame by means of pivots. The frame is itself fixed to a solid wall.
