Application:

The device is used for washing machine and tumble dryer mechanical endurance test to the lid or door interlock withstands the stresses to which it may be exposed in normal use. IEC Test Equipment

Standard description:

IEC 60335-2-11 clause 20.101

It shall not be possible to open the door while the appliance is operating unless an interlock is provided that disconnects the motor before the door opening exceeds 75 mm. It shall not be possible to start the motor while the door opening exceeds 75 mm.

Compliance is checked by inspection, by measurement and by manual test, the appliance being supplied at rated voltage and operating under normal operation.

If means to prevent the door opening incorporates a coil or similar component to lock the door in the closed position, the component is energized and de-energized 6 000 times, six times a minute or at the rate imposed by the construction of the appliance if this is lower.
