Solution For Tooth Crown Dental Crowns A interim crown, also known as provisional crown or temporary crown, It is a short time used, temporary solution in dentistry. Like other temporary restorations, it serves its function until a final restoration is made and placed. The final construction could be a denture, a crown, a bridge or even implants. The function of a temporary crown is to protect the tooth, preventing them from moving during the time to wait for final construction, It can also provide cosmetics so patient can live normal life. Now we have two solutions to make interim crowns. Acrylic resins (monomethacrylate based / polymethacrylate), or PMMA
material. Acrylic Resin temporary crowns are based of chemical-cure or light cure acrylic material, sometimes pre-made acrylic teeth to achieve better esthetics.
