FEM-EMZCHEMICAL NAME 2-Ethyl-4-Methylimidazole STRUCTURAL FORMULA MOLECULAR FORMULA C6H10N2 MOLECULAR WEIGHT 110.16 CAS NO. 931-36-2 PROPERTY - Low viscosity and low volatility, easy to handle at room
temperature.
- Medium-temperature curing imidazole catalyst, with a curing
temperature range of 60–150°C.
- Excellent compatibility with epoxy resins and effective at low
addition levels.
- The cured material offers good heat resistance, mechanical
strength, and electrical insulation properties.
- Stable during long-term storage; if crystallization occurs, it can
be restored by heating without affecting performance.
APPLICATIONS - Epoxy resin curing agent / accelerator: used in potting, casting,
laminating, adhesives, insulating varnishes, and powder coatings.
- Synthetic intermediate: used in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes,
and organic synthesis catalysts.
- Electronic packaging: used for insulation and protection of
semiconductors, coils, and PCB boards.

CURING CONDITIONS When used as an epoxy curing agent, the curing conditions are 60°C
for 2 hours, 70°C for 4 hours, or 70°C for 1 hour followed by 150°C
for 4 hours. The heat distortion temperature of the cured material
is 150–170°C. PACKAGING AND STORAGE Packed in 1 kg cans (or buckets), with a shelf life of two years. Keep away from fire and heat sources during storage, and protect
from light. Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, and
well-ventilated place. Keep away from incompatible substances such
as strong oxidizing agents and acids. After opening, use the
product as soon as possible, preferably all at once. Do not leave
it exposed to air for an extended period after opening, as this may
affect product quality. Contact Now
