Overview
A Blow out Preventer (BOP), which is connected to a wellhead adapter or the top of an oil tree. Closing the BOP while the wire or cable is still downhole seals around the wire (or cable), sealing the pressure inside the well and preventing external blowout.
Structural features
The blowout preventer is composed of shell, ram assembly,
equalizing valve assembly, manual control mechanism, hydraulic
control mechanism and lower joint. The upper part of the housing is
connected to the blowout preventer or drop preventer, and the lower
connector is connected to the wellhead adapter or the tree. Gate
assembly, wire gate inner seal, gate outer seal, etc. The ram body
is completely formed, controlled by a manual control mechanism to
move closer to the center, and the wire clamp is sealed by the
inner seal of the wire ram. When the BOP is closed and there is no pressure in the blowout
preventer, it is very difficult to open the BOP directly and it is
easy to break the inner seal, so it is necessary to open the
equalizing valve assembly first, and then open the BOP after the
upper and lower pressure of the BOP is balanced, and finally close
the balance valve assembly. The manual control mechanism is composed of an oil cylinder end
cover, a piston, a lead screw and a handle. Turn the handle
clockwise, the lead screw can push to close the ram body; Turn
counterclockwise to open the ram body.
