Ⅰ. Introduction (B)

A wireline stem weight bar is designed to serve two purposes. Firstly it is the weight required to overcome forces created by well pressure and the size of cable used and secondly it is the mass required to deliver impacts when setting or pulling devices in the wellbore.

The stem is cylindrical with fishing neck and pin connection (or QRJ pin) on the top and with box connection (or QRJ box) on the bottom.

The wireline stem weight bar is the most frequently-used model with advantages of simple design and easy operation.

Ⅳ. Notes

1. Standardstem is the simplest and commonly used weight stem. During usage, the thread in both ends require firm connection. It is necessary to choose appropriate weight stem during operation according to practical condition.

2. After using standard stem, please keep in good repair for extending its service life.
