【Pediatric Lancet Introduction】
SteriHeel Plus pediatric lancet can be used for routine tests too as lab techniques now require smaller sample volumes. Heel lancet also can be used when venous access cannot be made or veins need to be preserved for the future especially in infants requiring multiple or frequent blood sampling.

【Pediatric Lancet Use Instructions】
Step 1: Select a site identified in the shaded areas above. Clean the
incision site of the heel with an antiseptic swab and allow skin to
air dry; Step 2: Release trigger lock mechanism by pushing down the screw button. Step 3: Place the blade slot surface of the device flush against heel site.
Ensure that both ends of the device in contact with the skin, and
depress the trigger. Step 4: After triggering, immediately remove the heel lancet device
from infant's heel and discard the used safety lancet into a
suitable sharps container. Step 5: First drop of blood should be wiped away gently with a dry sterile
swab. Apply gentle pressure with the thumb and ease intermittently
as drops of blood form. Step 6: Following blood collection, gently press a dry sterile swab to the
incision site until bleeding has ceased. 【Pediatric Lancet Storage】 The infant lancet should be stored in a well-ventilated room
away from light and moisture, free from corrosive gases. 【Pediatric Lancet Cautions】 1. Read the instructions carefully before use; 2. Using the preemie lancet within the expiry date; 3. Do not use if primary package is broken; 4. For your safety, never use a heel stick lancet that has
been used by someone else. Heel incision lancet device is not
intended for use on multiple individuals. 5. In the event of any serious adverse event, the manufacturer
shall issue an advisory notice and take action in accordance with
the manufacturer's procedures.
