The main purpose of the Bentley 3500/42M monitor is to provide:

1. By continuously comparing the current mechanical vibration with the configured alarm settings, an alarm can be triggered to achieve mechanical protection.

2. Provide basic machine information for operators and maintenance personnel. Each channel typically processes its input signal into various parameters based on its configuration, known as' static values'. The alarm setpoint can be configured for each activated static value, and the danger setpoint can be configured for any two activated static values.

The Bentley 3500/42M displacement/velocity acceleration monitor is a 4-channel monitor that can receive signals from displacement, velocity, and acceleration sensors. By processing these signals, it can perform various vibration and position measurements and compare the processed signals with user programmed alarm values. Each channel of 3500/42M can be programmed using 3500 framework configuration software to perform the following functions:
