Description

The power board of the Comen STAR8000C patient monitor is the core of its power supply system. It efficiently converts external AC power or DC power from the built-in battery into various stable low-voltage DC power required by the internal modules of the monitor, and is responsible for battery charging and discharging management and seamless switching of the power supply of the whole machine.

High Reliability:

- Charging Management: When connected to mains power, it can charge lead-acid or lithium battery packs according to a constant current/constant voltage curve and monitor battery temperature to prevent overheating.

- Seamless Switching: When external power is lost, it can smoothly switch to battery power within milliseconds, ensuring the monitor does not shut down or restart.

- Protection Functions: It has overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection for the battery, extending battery life and ensuring safety.

- Multiple Safety Protections: The input terminals have fuses and varistors for surge protection; each output typically has overvoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. If any output voltage is abnormal, the power board will automatically shut down to prevent the fault from escalating.

How to install?

- Disconnect the device power supply and wear an anti-static wrist strap.

- Unscrew the screws securing the monitor's casing and carefully pry it open.

- Locate the power board and unplug all cables connected to it. Take photos to record their color, orientation, and pin positions.

- Unscrew the screws securing the power board and remove the old board.

- Ensure the old board and new board are identical in model and version. Replace the new board in its original position and tighten the screws.

- Connect the cables one by one in their original positions.

- Perform a power-on test, ensuring safety. After the test, close the device casing, tighten the screws, and the replacement installation is complete.
