Detailed Product Description

CMP2D8A.20097 Comen STAR8000C Patient Monitor Power Management Board 050-000192-00

Product Description

Part numbers CMP2D8A.20097 and 050-000192-00 are marked on this dedicated power management board, which serves as the core power control module built inside Comen STAR8000C multi-parameter patient monitors. All power distribution, voltage regulation and battery charging control work of the monitor are centrally processed by this circuit board. It stabilizes input mains power and distributes matched safe voltage to the monitor’s mainboard, parameter acquisition board, display screen and other internal components separately.

Original power management boards are easily damaged after long term 24hours uninterrupted operation in hospital wards and ICUs. Common faults including device failure to power on, automatic shutdown, abnormal battery charging and system voltage alarms will occur due to component aging and power surge impact. Manufactured with identical original circuit layout and power control programs, this replacement board can be directly installed without software reset or manual parameter adjustment. Stable and safe power supply inside the monitor can be fully restored after replacement to support continuous patient vital sign monitoring.

Main Functions

1. Unstable raw mains voltage is automatically regulated and filtered by this board before power is transmitted to each internal hardware module, avoiding voltage fluctuation that affects monitor monitoring accuracy and display effect.

2. The built-in battery charging cycle is intelligently managed. Automatic charging stop and power switching are realized when the battery is fully charged, while automatic battery power supply switching is completed once external mains power is cut off unexpectedly.

3. Real-time power status monitoring is supported. The board will feed back fault codes to the monitor system immediately once abnormal power conditions are detected, helping maintenance staff locate power faults quickly.

Installation Steps

  • Check the new power management board for intact chips, undamaged solder joints and complete interfaces before installation. Fix the new board to the original mounting position with matched screws, and keep the board flat without extrusion deformation.

  • Reconnect all cables and connectors strictly following the original wiring sequence, and ensure all interfaces are fully locked without loose connection. Reassemble the monitor housing, reconnect power supply and conduct full machine power-on test. The installation is completed if the monitor boots normally with no power alarm prompts.

Precautions for Use

  • All disassembly and installation work must be finished in an anti-static environment. Static electricity generated by human bodies can cause irreversible damage to delicate onboard chips.
  • Wrong wiring or reverse interface plugging is strictly prohibited, which will trigger instant short circuit and burn out the power board and other core monitor components.
  • Liquid, dust and corrosive gas must be kept away from the power management board, as moisture and dirt will cause circuit oxidation and poor power contact.
  • Do not squeeze or bend the circuit board during installation; uneven stress will crack PCB board lines and lead to hidden power faults.
  • Stop monitor operation right away if overheating smell, spontaneous shutdown or power alarm appears, and inspect the power board condition timely to prevent fault expansion.
