Product Introduction

The Carewell ECG-1112's complete housing is an injection-molded shell specifically designed for this 12-channel ECG monitor. It securely holds all components together: the top cover, bottom cover, front panel, printer compartment door, and all the small protective covers around the side ports.

It itself does not perform any calculations or signal processing, but without it, the internal electronics would be completely unprotected. Typically, a complete housing needs to be replaced when the original housing cracks from drops, deforms from years of use with hospital disinfectants, or is severely scratched from daily use. The housing is made of reinforced PC/ABS medical-grade alloy. This plastic is the same grade used in many bedside monitors and defibrillators, strong enough to withstand impacts yet flexible enough to prevent breakage.

Advantages

1. The robust and durable casing protects sensitive internal printed circuit boards, printer mechanics, and displays from physical impacts.

Resistant to hospital chemicals, its performance remains unchanged, and the matte finish can withstand repeated wiping with isopropyl alcohol, iodine, or chlorine-containing wipes.

2. The snap-fit ​​design, reinforced with screws, allows for easy assembly by first snapping the upper and lower casings together, then tightening several screws for a secure hold.

Keep in Mind

1. A cracked shell won't cause incorrect ECG readings—but it does leave the mainboard vulnerable to static, dust, and spilled fluids. If the shell is badly damaged, replace it sooner rather than later.

2. The PC/ABS plastic is tough but not indestructible. It resists cracking from normal bumps, but a heavy fall onto a hard floor can still fracture it. Dropping the machine from waist height onto concrete is never a good idea, even with a new shell.

3. Clean with soft wipes, not abrasive pads. The matte finish holds up well to standard disinfectant wipes. Don't use scouring pads, steel wool, or anything abrasive,it'll leave permanent scratches.

4. Don't overtighten the screws. When putting the shells back together, snug but not torqued is fine. Over‑tightening can strip the plastic bosses or cause the shell to crack around the screw holes.
