The glass surface of the touch screen is made of ITO with horizontal and vertical electrodes. The intersection of the two sets of electrodes will form a capacitor, which is the two poles of the capacitor formed by these two sets of electrodes. When a finger touches the capacitive screen, it affects the coupling between the two electrodes near the touch point, thereby changing the capacitance between these two electrodes. When detecting the mutual capacitance, the transverse electrodes emit excitation signals sequentially, and all longitudinal electrodes receive signals simultaneously.

If the touch screen does not respond no matter what is pressed or the fetal monitor screen appears white, long pressing the power button and restarting the monitor device can solve most cases.
