The new battery is discharged and must be recharged before use (consult your medical device for recharging instructions). Upon first use (or after extended storage), the battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles to reach full capacity.

When charging the battery for the first time, the medical device may indicate that the charge is complete after 10 or 15 minutes. This is normal for rechargeable batteries. Simply remove the PHiliphh ME202C battery from the medical device and repeat the charging procedure.

It is very important to service (fully discharge and then fully recharge) the battery every two to three weeks. Otherwise, the life of the battery can be significantly reduced (this does not apply to Li-ion batteries that do not require treatment).
