The process of the titanium clad copper wire is explosion and hot rolled, details please check follows:
The explosion method firstly puts the copper rod into the titanium
tube, uniformly distributes the explosive material outside the
titanium tube, and uses the detonator to detonate the explosive, so
that the copper rod and the titanium tube form a composite under
the action of the explosive force. Since the cross-sectional size
of the titanium-copper composite rod is generally small, the
production yield by the explosion method is low, resulting in high
cost, and no one in the industrial production currently adopts this
method.
Explosion + rolling method is to use a larger size of titanium tube
and copper rod, the blank is made by the explosion method, and then
the finished composite rod is produced by the method of hole
rolling. Compared with the direct explosion method, this method has
the advantages of improving efficiency and reducing cost. The
composite rods produced by the composite strength and other
indicators are also good. However, since the rolling processing
amount should not be too large, that is, the elongation coefficient
is not large, it is not suitable for mass production. and for a
rectangular composite rod, the corners are not easily filled. If
the amount of deformation of the pass is not well controlled, there
may be a crimp or ear. Due to the use of the finished hot rolling
method, the composite rod has poor bending resistance and has an
impact on the use.
