The Electrically Controlled Polarization Generator Highly Efficient
The U8340 Motorized Polarization Scrambler is a program motorized
control polarization scrambler. Its polarization controlled
capability enhances measurement speed, accuracy, and overall
prodUtivity. The continuous length of fiber enables high power and
ultra-low insertion loss. This design offers a wide range of Auto
Scan rates and high incremental angular resolution. Four-fiber knob
loop design has proven to provide excellent control with ultra-low
power variations (PDL). This reliable design allows for a wide
range of applications from component testing to PMD related
activities.
The main types of polarization generators include wave plate
polarization generator and fiber optic polarization generator. The
wave plate polarization generator usually uses the phase delay
principle to control the polarization state, while the fiber optic
polarization generator realizes the polarization state control
through the birefringence effect in the fiber.
