What is Warming Blanket System?
 
The Warming Blanket System is a forced-air warming, or FAW, system designed to prevent hypothermia and keep patients at a
normal core body temperature during all three phases of orthopedic surgery — preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative.
 

 

What can warming blanket system do?
Warming units filter air and then force warm air through disposable blankets, which cover patients before,during and after surgery. Forced-air warming promotes convective heat transfer by moving warm air across the skin, so the blanket provides thermoregulation at a lower temperature. Forced-air warming is available in hospitals because it does offer benefits.
