Product Description
BMI325 is a highly integrated, low-power six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that integrates a three-axis accelerometer, a three-axis gyroscope and an on-chip temperature sensor. Combining a compact form factor, low power consumption, high accuracy and intelligent motion sensing capabilities, it is specifically designed for battery-powered applications such as wearables, mobile devices and AR/VR.
Features
Through multi-level power management and dynamic power consumption regulation, the BMI325 achieves a balance between 'high performance and long battery life', making it an ideal choice for battery-powered devices:
  • Multi-stage power consumption modes:
    • High-Performance Mode: Operates at full ODR (Output Data Rate) without aliasing, with a typical current of 790μA—a reduction of approximately 15% compared to the previous generation.
    • Normal Mode: Balances performance and power consumption, with a typical current of 690μA, suitable for daily activity monitoring.
    • Low-Power Standby Mode: Retains only essential wake-up circuits, with current as low as 15μA; automatically switches to this mode when inactive to maximise battery life.
  • Power Management and Supply Characteristics:
    • Built-in PMU (Power Management Unit) supports dynamic power switching, automatically activating and deactivating sensor modules based on motion status.
    • Wide-voltage supply: Analogue VDD 1.71V-3.63V, I/O VDDIO 1.08V-3.63V; dual power supplies with independent configuration, suitable for mainstream embedded systems.
    • Fast Start-up: Accelerometer start-up time of 2.5 ms, gyroscope < 1 ms, enabling low-latency wake-up and response.
