Overview: Quartz Wedge Depolarizer is constructed with two crystal quartz wedges of 3°. Since most
wedge depolarizers comprise of one crystal quartz wedge and another
fused silica to minimize beam deviation value, it is limited to be
used in some precision instrument. Replaced the fused silica
by the crystal quartz plates with optical axis along the
propagation direction as the main method to reduce beam deviation,
Star Optic’s depolarizer can be used in a wide wavelength spectrum
with good beam deviation quality as compared to typical depolarizer
which has a narrow wavelength range to maintain its beam deviation. These quartz wedge depolarizers are ideal for greater than 6mm
diameter Monochromatic Light & Broadband Light and they can
better performance when aligning optical axis at 45°. We offer
these quarts wedge depolarizers with technique of epoxy cemented
and optically contacted.
