Overview: Dichroic Film Sheet Polarizer featuring a dichroic film sheet is
epoxied between two protective glass plates. When a natural beam
travels through the dichroic film sheet, the rejected polarization
is highly absorbed while the transmitted polarization transmits
with a weak absorption, making them to be used converting randomly
polarized beam into linearly polarized beam. Compared to polarizing prisms, these dichroic film sheet polarizers
offer much bigger size and acceptable angle>20deg. These 400-700nm dichroic film sheet polarizers provide much higher
extinction ratio 1000:1 and acceptable angle>20 deg than
polarizing plate beamsplitters at the same wavelength range except
the fact that they are limit to use in low-power applications.
