Double Concave (Bi-Concave) Spherical Lens, N-BK7, Spread Light

Overview:

Double-Concave (DCV) Lens, also referred to as bi-concave lens, has two inward curved surfaces. They have a negative focal length and are best used to diverge a converging beam. Double-concave lenses can diverge a collimated beam to a virtual focus and are commonly used for image reduction and to spread light. Star Optic provides double-concave lenses in a variety of substrates and anti-reflection coating options.

In order to reduce the amount of light reflected from each surface of the lens, antireflection coatings including singer layer MgF2, multi-layer AR coating, Broadband multi-layer AR coating and Dual wavelength AR coating are also available.
