Product Description APPLICATIONS 8038 (8x3.8x2.4mm) Real Time Clock crystals are used in circuits where size and cost are sensitive.
32.768 kHz crystals are one of the most common crystal units, used in watches, clocks, diginal calendars, meters and anything that needs to count time. The frequency 32.768kHz = 2^15Hz is easily divided into 2 (15 times) until getting a 1Hz signal, this provides an accurate 1 second clock signal which is perfect for Real Time Clock applications.
