100% Original EJX530A YOKOGAWA Diaphragm Type Gauge Pressure
Transmitter EJX630A
1. What It Is
The EJX530A is a high-performance in-line gauge pressure transmitter in Yokogawa’s premium EJX-A (DPharp) series. It’s used to measure
the pressure of liquids, gases, or steam and produce a proportional
4–20 mA output (linear or square-root) with superimposed digital
communications (BRAIN or HART). FOUNDATION Fieldbus and PROFIBUS PA
versions are also available.
2. When to Choose EJX530A (vs. EJX510A)
Choose the EJX530A when your application requires gauge pressure (pressure referenced to atmosphere). If you need absolute pressure, the companion model is EJX510A.
3. Key Performance Highlights
Reference accuracy: Up to ±0.04% of span (Span A) with scaled accuracy rules for higher ranges (see table
below).
Long-term stability: ±0.1% of URL for 15 years under normal operating conditions.
Fast response: 90 ms (all capsules) when damping set to zero.
4. Pressure Capsules & Ranges (Gauge)
Capsule | Calibrated Span | Range Limits | Approx. Upper Range Limit (URL) |
---|
A | 8–200 kPa | −100 to 200 kPa | 200 kPa |
B | 0.02–2 MPa | −0.1 to 2 MPa | 2 MPa |
C | 0.1–10 MPa | −0.1 to 10 MPa | 10 MPa |
D | 0.5–50 MPa | −0.1 to 50 MPa | 50 MPa |
(Conversions: 200 kPa ≈ 29 psi; 2 MPa ≈ 290 psi; 10 MPa ≈ 1450 psi;
50 MPa ≈ 7200 psi.)
5. Output, Configuration & Local Interface
Signal: 2-wire 4–20 mA DC with superimposed BRAIN or HART FSK; linear or square-root
selectable.
Integral LCD indicator (option) displays pressure, % span, scaled engineering units,
bargraph.
Local Parameter Setting (LPS): Configure tag, units, LRV/URV, damping, output mode, and perform
local re-range using the push button/zero screw—useful for fast
commissioning without a communicator.
6. Advanced Diagnostics & Safety
Optional advanced diagnostics can detect impulse line blockage and heat trace failure, and can drive an analog alert status when enabled.
Standard EJX series units (except Fieldbus/PROFIBUS types) are certified to SIL 2 for safety applications; consult the Functional Safety Manual for
integration into safety instrumented functions. Distributors note
third-party TÜV/Exida certifications are available in certain
configurations—verify per your project safety requirements.
7. Environmental & Operating Limits
Ambient: −40 to +85 °C; with LCD display −30 to +80 °C.
Process temperature: −40 to +120 °C (may be further limited by
approvals/options).
Working pressure: Up to capsule URL (to 50 MPa for D capsule). See over-pressure and
approval tables when applying in hazardous areas.
8. Construction & Materials
Wetted parts selections include 316L SST process connections and Hastelloy C-276 diaphragms among others (specified via suffix codes).
Housing options: low-copper cast aluminum (standard), corrosion-resistant coated variants, or ASTM CF-8M stainless steel (optional).
Enclosure ratings: IP66/IP67, Type 4X.
9. Hazardous Area Approvals (Selected)
Multiple global approvals are available (ordered by option codes),
including ATEX Flameproof / Intrinsically Safe, IECEx Flameproof / IS, FM/CSA Explosionproof, and combinations packages (e.g., KU22, FU1, etc.). Check the code
string on your model for exact certification and temperature
class.
10. Ordering Snapshot (Reading the Code)
A typical code string (example only): EJX530A-E D S7N-017DL /D1 /KF22 indicates model, output (HART), capsule (span D), wetted
materials, process connection, indicator, calibration units (psi),
and ATEX approval option. Always confirm each suffix in the current
Yokogawa General Specifications before ordering.
