Highlight: electric globe valve
Product introduction:
Actuator (or pneumatic actuator) and a globe valve. The difference
lies in that the closing member is a valve disc, which rotates
around the centerline of the valve body to achieve opening and
closing. As the most widely used valve type, the electric globe
valve (also known as electric stop valve) differs from the electric
ball valve. Its popularity stems from advantages such as low
friction between sealing surfaces during opening/closing,
durability, small opening height, easy manufacturing, convenient
maintenance, and applicability to both medium-low and high-pressure
systems. The closing principle of an electric globe valve is to rely on the
electric thrust to rotate the valve stem, forcing the valve disc
sealing surface to closely fit the valve seat sealing surface and
block medium flow. It allows only unidirectional medium flow,
requiring directional installation. Compared with gate valves,
globe valves have longer structural lengths and higher fluid
resistance, with less reliable sealing performance during long-term
operation.

- Simple structure, convenient for manufacturing and maintenance.
- Short working stroke and quick opening/closing time.
- Good sealing performance, low friction between sealing surfaces,
and long service life.
- The structural forms of globe valve bodies include straight-through
type, straight-flow type, and right-angle type. The
straight-through type is the most common structure, but it has the
highest fluid resistance. The straight-flow type has smaller fluid
resistance and is mostly used for fluids containing solid particles
or high viscosity. The right-angle valve body is mostly forged,
suitable for globe valves with smaller nominal diameters and higher
pressures.
- The friction force of the sealing surface during opening and
closing is smaller than that of the gate valve, and it is
wear-resistant.
- Usually with only one sealing surface, good manufacturing process
and convenient for maintenance.
- The electric actuator is convenient for operation.
