Micro-computer controlled dual disc infrared dryer QR-SHG
Product details:
In wet casting production, the moisture content of the molding sand
should be in a relatively suitable state. The suitable moisture
content of molding sand is mainly influenced by the amount of mud
content. In addition to the mud content of the raw materials used,
it is also necessary to consider the continuously generated mud
during the casting process, such as clay turning into dead clay
after high temperature, coal powder turning into ash after burning,
which increases the mud content in the molding sand. This will
cause a change in the originally suitable moisture content of the
molding sand. In order to facilitate molding, it is often necessary
to increase the moisture content of the molding sand. The
performance of molding sand often changes during the production
process, especially in large-scale assembly line production.
The moisture content of molding sand is highly sensitive to changes
in its properties. If the moisture content is too high, the
flowability of the molding sand is poor, the molding sand is not
easy to compact, and the wet strength of the molding sand is
relatively low, which can easily cause surface roughness, sand
swelling, sand inclusion, flame running, porosity and other defects
in the casting, and difficult sand falling. Wet molding sand is
also prone to sticking to sand and hoppers, which poses
difficulties for molding. On the contrary, if the moisture content
is too low, the toughness of the molding sand is poor, the mold is
difficult to take, the surface strength of the sand mold is poor,
and the casting is prone to defects such as sand flushing and sand
holes. Therefore, in the production process, it is necessary to
correctly select and control the appropriate moisture content of
the molding sand based on objective factors.
(1) Main performance of the instrument
This dryer is designed for rapid drying when using a microcomputer
controlled digital display to measure the moisture content of sand
samples (original seconds, mold seconds, and core sand). The system
utilizes infrared light bulbs to emit heat energy, causing the
moisture in the sand sample to quickly evaporate, and then uses a
balance to weigh and calculate the moisture content of the sand
sample. Its structure mainly consists of a housing, infrared light
bulb, microcomputer timing system, switch, and other parts.
