Schneider SpaceLogic SCD2XP2AVX Duct CO2 Temp RH VOC Sensor BACnet
Modbus Product Overview The SpaceLogic SCD2XP2AVX is a cutting-edge, duct-mounted
multi-sensor platform engineered to meet the stringent indoor air
quality (IAQ) monitoring specifications of green building
certifications, including LEED, WELL, and RESET. This advanced
device combines four critical atmospheric parameters—Carbon Dioxide
(CO2), Relative Humidity (RH), Temperature, and Volatile Organic
Compounds (VOCs)—into a single, highly integrated duct probe. By
consolidating these four sensors into one unit and utilizing BACnet
MS/TP and Modbus RTU communications, the SCD2XP2AVX dramatically
reduces hardware acquisition costs, minimizes installation labor,
and optimizes valuable BAS controller physical ports. Technical Specifications - Protocol / Communication: Multi-protocol auto-detectable RS-485 interface supporting BACnet
MS/TP and Modbus RTU protocols. Selectable baud rates up to 115200
bps, configured via DIP switch or software.
- I/O Points & Signals: Digital bus-only interface mapping CO2 (ppm), relative humidity
(%), temperature (°C/°F), and VOC index/equivalent readings
directly to BMS software objects.
- Power Supply / Voltage: 24 VAC ±15% (50/60 Hz) or 20 to 30 VDC, Class 2 circuit, maximum
power consumption of 2.5W.
- Sensor Parameters & Accuracy:
- CO2 Sensing: Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensor with Automatic Baseline
Calibration (ABC) algorithm to mitigate drift over time. Range: 0
to 2000 ppm. Accuracy: ±30 ppm ±3% of reading.
- VOC Sensing: Advanced Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) gas-sensor technology.
Range: 0 to 1000 ppb (or mapped equivalent eCO2). Highly sensitive
to organic solvents, cleaning agents, and smoke.
- Humidity & Temperature: Digitally calibrated capacitive sensor. Humidity accuracy: ±2%
RH. Temperature accuracy: ±0.2°C (32 to 122°F).
- Regulatory & Certifications: UL 916 Energy Management, CE, RCM, FCC Class B, ICES-003, RoHS,
aligned with LEED/WELL specifications.
- Enclosure & Material: IP65 flame-retardant ABS enclosure (UL94-V0). Probe depth is
adjustable, fitted with a high-durability sensor protection cap.
Typical Applications - Demand-Controlled Ventilation (DCV): Installed in central return air ducts of modern green office
buildings to dynamically regulate fresh outdoor air dampers based
on occupied CO2 and VOC spikes, maximizing energy savings.
- Educational High-Density Air Control: Mounted in classrooms, lecture halls, and auditorium return ducts
to track CO2 buildup, preventing drowsiness and fatigue.
- Medical Facility VOC Extraction: Deployed in laboratory exhaust vents and clinical treatment
facilities to monitor chemical off-gassing and VOC concentrations,
ensuring adequate room ventilation rates.
