SPK MoSi₂ heating element
The MoSi₂ resistive heating element is based on molybdenum
disilicide, a material known for its unique properties. When
exposed to high-temperature oxidizing environments, a layer of
lustrous and compact quartz (SiO₂) glass film is formed through a
specific chemical reaction. This film acts as a shield, preventing
oxidation of the inner silicon molybdenum rod and ensuring
long-lasting high-temperature oxidation resistance.
Precautions for MoSi2 elements MoSi₂ heating elements should never be utilized within the
temperature range of 400 ℃ to 700 ℃ as it can lead to
low-temperature oxidation and damage to the elements in such
adverse conditions.
