W type Mosi2 Heating Element
1800 degree silicon molybdenum rods are used for ultra-high
temperature test furnaces, with a temperature range of around
1700-1800 degrees Celsius. Components with a diameter of 4/9 or
6/12 can be selected. Of course, sometimes if the electric furnace
is very small, a diameter of 3/6 can be used (mainly depending on
the size of the furnace). Choosing the appropriate specifications
of silicon molybdenum rods is crucial for the electric furnace,
considering the operating temperature, power, and voltage.
Generally, they are arranged according to the length of the
furnace, and are mostly U-shaped silicon molybdenum rods. Some
manufacturers want to increase the temperature quickly by
increasing or decreasing the diameter of the hot end of the silicon
molybdenum rod by one millimeter. However, the number of silicon
molybdenum rods installed in the electric furnace depends on the
power and voltage, but it is also possible to reduce the number of
rods if the voltage cannot be reached. The distance between the
rods should be the same as the center distance of the same
specification, and the diameter of the silicon molybdenum rod
should be reasonably determined according to the temperature
requirements of the electric furnace.
