Investment Casting
Investment casting, also known as lost wax casting, utilizes a
transient pattern made of a wax-like material to create adjoining
complex parts. A near-net-shape process, it has extremely high
surface quality because it uses ceramic molds with excellent
thermal properties. Its numerous advantages and versatility give
tired competition to alternative casting methods such as sand
casting and die casting, some of which we have highlighted earlier.
