Waterborne Acrylic Modified Saturated Polyester Resin WL-187

  Water Based Saturated Polyester Resins are oil free non-oxidizing resins. These resins are intended to be crosslinked with amino resins through their free hydroxyl functionality. Crosslinking can be done with with melamines and urea resins. When properly formulated, these resins can give very high quality industrial finishes.

1, Product Composition:

WL-187‌ is a ‌water-based hydroxy-functional saturated polyester resin‌ characterized by:

‌Superior flexibility‌ and ‌chemical resistance‌.

‌Exceptional versatility‌ for diverse coating applications.

‌Typical Use‌:

Combined with ‌amino crosslinkers‌ (e.g., Cytec 325 and Cytec 303) to formulate ‌high-performance water-based amino baking varnishes‌.

Ideal for coatings requiring ‌durability‌, ‌smooth finishes‌, and ‌resistance to harsh environments‌.

3, Product Properties:

Waterborne Thinnable Acrylic Modified Saturated Polyester.

Low VOC, high gloss and hardness, excellent flexibility and fullness.

Good solvent resistance and hydrolysis resistance.

Excellent shear stability, can be grinded with dispersions directly.

Good storage stability.

4, Instructions:

After neutralized by N,N-2 methyl diethanolamine, WL-187 can be diluted by water directly. The adding amount of amine takes 4-5% of theresin. The product can be baked and cured with etherfied amino resins. It is suggested that the amino resins should be added by 25%-35%(for solidresins).Our company has the matching catalyst CATO1. The baking temperature is more than 140℃.

The PH value can be adjusted by N, N-2 methyl diethanolamine. And the viscosity of aqueous solution will increase with the increase of PH value.

5, Storage:

It is suggested that the product should be stored in a cool and dry place at 0-40℃. The quality guarantee period is 1 year, and the expired productscan still be used after passing the inspections.
