EPDM Rubber Waterproofing membranes is a synthetic rubber, synthetic tire blends as the base material, adding reinforcing agents, softeners, antioxidants, curing agents processing aids to promote mixing by kneading, mixing, extrusion, rolling and curing, shaping and other processes can be processed into sheet curling volume of new high elastic waterproof material.

Main classification and characteristics

1. Asphalt-based waterproofing membrane

• Traditional asphalt membrane: made of base paper or fiber base impregnated with petroleum asphalt, with weak aging resistance.
• Modified asphalt membrane (mainstream type)
• SBS elastomer modification: low temperature resistance (-25℃), strong crack resistance, suitable for cold areas
• APP plastic body modification: high temperature resistance (softening point can reach 160℃), suitable for hot climates
• Self-adhesive type: no need for open flame construction, strong deformation ability of the base layer, suitable for complex scenes such as basements and tunnels.

2. Polymer waterproofing membrane

• PVC (polyvinyl chloride): corrosion-resistant, weldable, suitable for industrial buildings.
• TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin): comprehensive rubber elasticity and plastic weldability, energy-saving and environmentally friendly, suitable for mechanically fixed single-layer roofs.
• EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer): excellent weather resistance, life of more than 30 years, often used in high-end buildings.

3. Composite material

• Polyethylene polypropylene: Double-layer structure enhances puncture resistance, suitable for pools and underground projects.

Uses of waterproof membrane

EVA earth membrane is mainly used for waterproofing projects such as landfills and wastewater treatment plants. EVA earth membrane is suitable for lining and is not suitable for exposed roofs. EVA earth membrane is mainly used for subway projects, tunnels, air-raid shelters, water retaining walls, tunnel dams, artificial lakes, industrial waterproofing and other projects. ECB is mainly used for waterproofing of subways, roads, dams, tunnels, and earthworks.

LDPE is a high-density, and the latter is a low-density polyethylene composite earth membrane, PE earth membrane, EVA earth membrane, reinforced earth membrane, and composite earth membrane.

· Select SBS type in cold areas and APP type in high temperature environments.

· Self-adhesive rolls must ensure that the base layer is flat to avoid hollowing.

3. Environmental protection and standards:

· Avoid using composite tires and recycled materials (listed as restricted products).
