1. Product Introduction The Server-Rack Fire Suppression Unit is an innovative automatic fire suppression system independently developed by our company. It is specifically designed for protecting equipment cabinets and enclosures. This unit is also known as a temperature‑sensing detection and extinguishing integrated device or a pre‑engineered fire extinguishing unit. The unit integrates the following components into a single, self‑contained assembly:
One Server-Rack Fire Suppression Unit can protect a single equipment cabinet or, depending on the configuration, multiple cabinets within a defined enclosure. Fire Extinguishing Agent Options The device can be charged with either of the following clean agents:
Both FM200 and Novec 1230 are clean gas extinguishing agents that operate primarily through chemical fire suppression, supplemented by physical cooling effects. They are colourless, odourless, low‑toxicity, non‑conductive, and leave no residue on protected equipment. They will not cause damage to property or precision facilities. With relatively low extinguishing concentrations, they provide reliable suppression for Class B fires, Class C fires, and electrical fires. Detection Technology The Server-Rack Fire Suppression Unit incorporates two independent detection methods:
This design eliminates the need for a conventional fire detection system comprising smoke detectors, heat detectors, and a separate fire control panel. Our integrated approach offers the following benefits:
2. Applications The Server-Rack Fire Suppression Unit is suitable for the following applications:
3. Working Principle The Server-Rack Fire Suppression Unit offers two temperature‑base0d activation modes: Mode 1: Temperature‑Sensing Glass Bulb When the ambient temperature inside the protected enclosure reaches the rated activation temperature of the glass bulb (standard setting: 68°C, with other temperature ratings available upon request), the bulb bursts instantly. This opens the agent release port, and the stored gas extinguishing agent is immediately discharged through the nozzle. The agent cools the protected area and suppresses the fire. Mode 2: Fire Detection Tube When the detection tube is exposed to a heat source and reaches its
activation temperature (160°C ± 10°C), the pressurised gas inside the tube expands rapidly. The tube
then ruptures at the point of highest temperature (the fire
origin). This pressure drop activates the storage vessel, and the
extinguishing agent is discharged through the rupture point of the
tube, providing localised cooling and fire suppression. 4 Main technical parameters and characteristics 4.1 Model and specifications of server-rack fire suppression unit
