High-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system
System Composition:
The CO2 Pipe Network Fire Suppression System is a
high-efficiency and reliable gas fire protection solution using
high-pressure carbon dioxide as the extinguishing agent. The system
distributes CO2 through a pipe network to protected zones, ensuring
rapid discharge and effective fire suppression. It is widely used
in data centers, server rooms, electrical substations, power
distribution rooms, marine engine rooms, industrial plants, paint
spraying rooms, boiler rooms, and warehouses.
Designed with a working pressure of 5.7MPa, the system
features 70L cylinders with a 42kg filling volume and a discharge
time ≤60 seconds, enabling fast and powerful fire suppression. It
supports single-zone or multi-zone protection, allowing flexible
configuration of cylinder banks and pipe layouts to meet various
project requirements.
CO2 is a clean fire extinguishing agent with no residue,
non-conductive properties, and no water damage, making it ideal for
protecting sensitive equipment and electrical installations. The
system offers automatic, manual, and mechanical emergency release
modes and can be equipped with a DC24V solenoid valve for stable
and reliable activation.
System Features:
The pipe network is made of high-pressure galvanized steel
pipes with flange connections, ensuring excellent strength and
long-term durability. Optional leakage alarm and remote monitoring
functions provide real-time cylinder pressure status, enhancing
operational safety and reducing maintenance costs.
Carbon dioxide gas is an excellent fire extinguishing agent.
Its chemical formula is CO. At normal temperature, it is a
colorless, odorless, non-conductive, chemically neutral, corrosive
and toxic gas. The vapor pressure of carbon dioxide changes with
temperature. As the temperature rises, the vapor pressure
increases. In a fixed container, as the temperature rises, the
pressure that the container can withstand also increases. This fire
extinguishing system belongs to physical fire extinguishing. It has
the characteristics of safety, stability, convenience, rapidity and
ease of use. This series of products all meet the requirements of
GB16669 standard and have voluntary certification certificates.
Application scope:
The CO2 Pipe Network Fire Suppression System is suitable for
extinguishing electrical fires, flammable liquid fires, and gas
fires where power can be cut off. It is widely applied in the power
industry, petrochemical industry, telecommunications sector,
transportation facilities, and marine engineering. With fast
response, high extinguishing efficiency, and reliable performance,
it delivers professional fire protection for critical assets.

Working principle:
Startup methods:
The system's startup relies on two types of drives, namely
the electromagnetic drive and the pneumatic-handled dual-purpose
drive.
1. The electromagnetic drive is used for the upper bottle.
2. The pneumatic-handled dual-purpose drive is used for the main
cylinder.
The system has four specific startup methods: automatic
startup, manual startup, mechanical startup, and emergency
mechanical startup.
1. Automatic startup - When two different types of detectors
(usually smoke and temperature combined) in the protected area
simultaneously send out fire alarm signals, the fire alarm
controller delays for 30 seconds (0-305 adjustable), and sends an
electrical signal to activate the corresponding area's startup
cylinder. The startup gas first opens the selection valve of the
corresponding area, and then opens the fire extinguishing cylinder
group (in a unit-independent system, the fire extinguishing
cylinder is directly opened), implementing fire extinguishing in
the corresponding area.
2. Manual startup - When a fire occurs in the protected area and
the personnel have safely evacuated, the staff presses the
emergency startup button at the entrance of the protected area, and
delays for 30 seconds (0-30 seconds adjustable). The fire alarm
controller sends an electrical signal to activate the corresponding
area's startup cylinder, implementing fire extinguishing in the
corresponding area.
3. Mechanical startup - When the electrical startup fire
extinguishing fails, the staff can mechanically start the
corresponding area's startup cylinder in the cylinder room to
implement fire extinguishing in the corresponding area.
4. Emergency mechanical startup - When the above three startup
methods fail, the staff can manually open the corresponding
selection valve and the active cylinder head valve in the cylinder
room respectively to implement fire extinguishing in the
corresponding area.
