Twin-rod Cylinder Because it delivers guided linear motion and actuation in one
package, the TN Series is the go-to choice wherever you need
short-to-mid stroke pushing, clamping, or pick-and-place with tight
parallelism tolerance—but don't want the cost, footprint, and
alignment headaches of a separate guide rail. Typical deployments
include SMT & PCB handling, electronic component
insertion/extraction fixtures, light-duty press-fit stations,
packaging-machine lidders and labelers, and inspection/alignment
stages where non-rotation is non-negotiable. Its high side-load
tolerance (thanks to the dual-rod bushing span) lets it absorb
modest eccentric loading that would cause a single-rod cylinder to
bind or leak prematurely. For sizing, engineers should apply a
safety factor of 1.5–2× on the smaller pull-side force, verify
side-load limits against moment arms, and confirm the air supply is
properly filtered and, in humid or dusty cells, protected from
condensation and ingress—simple precautions that let the TN deliver
